Archiving the Yezidi culture – Iraq and Syria

The project is commissioned by Hawar.help, to document, preserve, and digitize Yazidi family, local, and cultural heritage in Iraq and Syria, strengthening the Yazidi Community Archive and ensuring Yazidi voices, histories, and living traditions are represented beyond the genocide narrative.

Training on Technology-Facilitated Gender-Based Violence

As part of GIZ’s project “Supporting Participation and Dialogue in Yemen” (ParticiLogue), implemented by GIZ on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and aiming to improve societal conditions for peaceful coexistence in Aden, Taiz, and Hadramout in Yemen.

Fostering Diversity and Equality: Training Programme for Women’s Equal Participation Within Institutions in Iraq

The project’s objective is to support the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ)’s project „Strengthening the participation of women in the rehabilitation and peace process in Iraq (SPW)” with the implementation of a long-term training programme to foster diversity and equality within institutions and organisations and thereby improve women’s participation in Iraq.

Quality and Effectiveness in Dialogue and Participation in Iraq

Elbarlament contributes to the GIZ Promoting dialogue and participation in Iraq (PDP) project with the project “Quality and Effectiveness in Dialogue and Participation in Iraq”, with the aim to advance and improve the processes and results of existing and ongoing processes as well as prepare future dialogue and participation (D&P) processes with enhanced governmental ownership.

Women Talking Peace

‘’Women talking peace’’ aimed to involve women in the building of an effective peace order and functioning state, democratic and social structures in Iraq. The project lasted from 2020-2024.

Creative Expression Through Films

Creative expression through films aims to motivate people from all regions of Lebanon to express their ideas and desires for social change in a creative way and thus participate in the public discourse on Lebanon’s political, social, cultural and economic development.

WYDE Civic Engagement

The overall objective of the WYDE project is to fund and implement national and transnational projects in support of youth civic engagement and participation in the decision-making processes across the Sub-Saharan Countries.

Democracy moves: Socio-political participation of refugee women from Ukraine

The project will offer politically engaged refugee women from Ukraine the chance to learn about German democracy and the related political and civil society structures, both in theory and practice. Throughout the programme, refugee women from Ukraine will acquire theoretical and practical knowledge about German democracy and the related political and civil society structures.

Artists: Creators of Social Change

Throughout 2021/2022, the project “Artists: Creators of Social Change” aims at offering a large number of women in the cultural scene in Iraq the chance to network while also enabling them to participate confidently in the cultural, political and social spheres.
