Women leaders seek further support for their initiatives

Joined by our partner Women Now for Development, we organised a partnership and networking meeting to present the initiatives of the women leaders participating in our project Women Take the Lead. The women leaders presented their initiatives (which often took place in very challenging circumstances) with great conviction, passion and clarity to local and international NGO and donors, aiming to get support to continue implementing them in the future. We are very proud of them!
Here are some of the initiatives:
– I am an influential woman, to support women interested in political participation to help them activate their role and reach their potential to achieve change in Bekaa.
– You can, to empower women through skills and tools, and to change stereotypes against women.
– Together for justice, to raise the awareness of women, young women, and men towards enhanced community engagement and political and decision making participation.
– A smile for hope, to achieve equality for women through eliminating gender gaps, changing the conventional role of women and girls and the way it is perceived by society and law, to reach a community free of all forms of violence and discrimination.
