Archiving the Yezidi culture
HÁWAR.help e. V. is a human rights organisation that was founded on the ashes of the Yezidi genocide. It implements development and education programs in Iraq, Afghanistan and Germany, as well as international awareness and education initiatives as well as political work – including on the revolution in Iran.
Hawar.help reached out to us because of our well-known established work in Iraq, to support them in archiving the Yezidi community.
This is a short-term project commissioned by Hawar.help organisation to build an archive for Yezidi culture, coordinated with partners in Erbil and Germany. The archival work involves field work in Sinjar for interviews and material collection. It will include an exhibition. More details will be shared soon.
