Regional Networking Meeting

We are proud to have hosted a regional networking meeting in Erbil bringing together inspiring women leaders, peacebuilders, and environmental advocates from across Iraq, the MENA region, and South-West Asia to explore how women are shaping peace and climate mediation across borders. As part of the Women Taking the Lead project, this gathering focused on the role of women as peace and climate mediators, and on strengthening cross-border collaboration and joint advocacy efforts.

Thank you to all participants, partners, and ministry representatives who made this exchange so impactful! Together, we are building more inclusive and resilient pathways for peace and climate justice.

It was especially meaningful to moderate a dialogue enriched by a diverse and inspiring group of participants — including representatives from government institutions, international organizations, academic bodies, civil society, and the private sector. Their presence added depth, energy, and unique perspectives to every discussion.
