“Fragile to Fragile” Regional Knowledge Exchange Convening
The Peace Track Initiative, in collaboration with elbarlament and “To Be Foundation for Rights and Freedoms” organised the convening
“Fragile to Fragile” regional knowledge exchange on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV)”
under the project “Towards Enhancing the Resilience of Women Human Rights Defenders in Yemen to Advocate for Women’s and Children’s rights” funded by the European Union.
This initiative seeks to create a collaborative space for a “fragile to fragile” regional knowledge exchange on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and the Protection of Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs) bringing together, experts, project beneficiaries and key organizations addressing SGBV case management and protection issues and solutions in the MENA region.
The convening aims to:
– Disseminate information on the Peace Track Initiative’s (PTI), Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence (SGBV) and the Protection Self-Referral Guide for WHRDs in Yemen and diaspora.
– Highlight Capacity Building on SGBV Case Management efforts and ensure that WHRDs have access to services and peer knowledge from the MENA region.
– Knowledge-Exchange Panel Discussion: Participate and contribute to the experiences, challenges and best practices in addressing SGBV issues in the MENA region in an interactive session. Engaging WHRDs, experts and funding organizations, fostering connections and promoting access to resources.
– Networking Opportunities: Participants will have dedicated networking sessions to build connections, share resources, and explore potential collaborations. The event will create a platform for sustained engagement beyond the convening, encouraging ongoing knowledge-sharing and collaboration.
We look forward to your active participation and engagement, and productive and effective discussion.
