Call for Applications – Young Arab Women Peacebuilders

Are you a young woman from Iraq, Syria, Libya, or Yemen who is passionate about making change in your community?
This is your chance to join the Peace Advocacy Training Hub (PATH), a unique programme designed to strengthen your leadership, confidence, and voice in shaping peace and political reform.
What is PATH?
PATH builds directly on elbarlament’s 2024–2025 research on women’s roles in conflict-affected states. The study showed that while women are often excluded from politics and peace processes, they remain powerful agents of resilience, mediation, and transformation. This programme is a response to that reality. PATH seeks to create a more enabling environment for women’s meaningful participation in peacebuilding and decision-making, ensuring their perspectives help shape sustainable and inclusive futures.
Over the course of five months (October 2025 – January 2026), PATH will:
- Deliver a structured online training programme in Arabic, combining leadership, peacebuilding, negotiation, advocacy, and digital communications.
- Facilitate mentoring and peer exchange with regional experts in research, storytelling, creative media, and digital campaigning.
- Support participants in developing joint advocacy and storytelling initiatives to amplify women’s voices in peace and political reform processes.
Who is it for?
We are selecting 20 young women (ages 18–35) from Iraq, Syria, Libya, and Yemen). Participants should be active in civil society, peacebuilding, journalism, advocacy, or community work – and ready to grow their leadership skills while connecting with like-minded women from across the region.
What will you gain?
Over two phases, you will:
✅ Join interactive training sessions, each session will be of 2,5 hours that takes place one a week in the evening from 17:00–19:30 Berlin time on peacebuilding, democratic reform, advocacy, and feminist leadership.
✅ Learn essential skills: negotiation, mediation, digital advocacy, media literacy, transitional justice, and more.
✅ Work with expert mentors to co-create initiatives – from policy briefs to digital campaigns and creative storytelling.
✅ Become part of a cross-country network of inspiring young women peacebuilders.

🔸 Digital campaigning - Co-design advocacy projects that you can carry forward beyond the programme.

هذه فرصتكِ للانضمام إلى مشروع – مركز تدريب المناصرة من أجل السلام، وهو برنامج فريد يهدف إلى تعزيز قيادتك، ثقتك بنفسك، وصوتك في عمليات بناء السلام والإصلاح السياسي.
ما هو مشروع PATH؟
يعتمد المشروع على بحث أجرته منظمة البرلمان خلال عامي 2024–2025 حول أدوار النساء في الدول المتأثرة بالنزاعات. وقد أظهر هذا البحث أن النساء، رغم إقصائهن من السياسة وعمليات السلام الرسمية، هنّ فاعلات رئيسيات في الصمود، الوساطة، والتحول المجتمعي.
استجابةً لهذه الحقيقة، يهدف المشروع إلى خلق بيئة أكثر دعمًا لمشاركة النساء الحقيقية والفعالة في بناء السلام واتخاذ القرار، بما يضمن أن تسهم رؤيتهن في تشكيل مستقبل مستدام وشامل.
على مدى خمسة أشهر (من أكتوبر 2025 حتى يناير 2026)، سيقوم مشروع بما يلي:
✅ تقديم تدريب منظم عبر الإنترنت باللغة العربية، يدمج بين القيادة، بناء السلام، التفاوض، المناصرة، والتواصل الرقمي.
✅ تسهيل التوجيه وتبادل الخبرات مع خبيرات من المنطقة في مجالات البحث، السرد القصصي، الإعلام الإبداعي، والحملات الرقمية.
✅ دعم المشاركات في تطوير مبادرات مناصرة وسرد قصصي تعزز أصوات النساء في عمليات السلام والإصلاح السياسي.
من يمكنه التقديم؟
نبحث عن 20 شابة (تتراوح أعمارهن بين 18 و35 عامًا) من العراق، سوريا، ليبيا واليمن، من داخل البلدان. يجب أن تكون المتقدمات ناشطات في المجتمع المدني، أو في مجالات بناء السلام، الصحافة، المناصرة، أو العمل المجتمعي – ومستعدات لتطوير مهاراتهن القيادية والتواصل مع نساء شابات أخريات من المنطقة.
ماذا ستستفيدين من مشروع PATH؟
خلال مرحلتين، ستتمكنين من:
✅ حضور جلسات تدريب تفاعلية أسبوعية (كل جلسة مدتها ساعتان ونصف) تقام أيام الثلاثاء من الساعة 17:00 حتى 19:30 بتوقيت برلين، حول موضوعات مثل بناء السلام، الإصلاح الديمقراطي، المناصرة، والقيادة النسوية.
✅ تعلّم مهارات أساسية: التفاوض، الوساطة، المناصرة الرقمية، محو الأمية الإعلامية، العدالة الانتقالية، وغيرها.
✅ العمل مع مرشدات خبيرات لتطوير مبادرات حقيقية – مثل مذكرات سياسات، حملات رقمية، أو إنتاجات سرد قصصي إبداعية.
✅ الانضمام إلى شبكة عابرة للحدود تضم شابات رائدات في بناء السلام.

سيتم تطوير مبادرات حقيقية يمكن الاستمرار بها حتى بعد انتهاء مشروع PATH.
