“Ninewa Tells”: Spreading the idea of arts in peacebuilding processes in Ninewa high schools

Between 24-26 October, a group of eight Mosul Tells participants took part in a three-day ToT workshop in Mosul, led by Khouloud Khatib. They learned to speak in public and to animate short workshops on peacebuilding, the role of arts and oral history within high schools. After the training, they conducted two “Mini workshops” at the Mosul Heritage Foundation, and animated a panel on the role of arts in peacebuilding at the University of Hamdaniya.
On 31 October, a panel on the same subject was organised and held at the University of Mosul, in cooperation with the Mosul Heritage Foundation. More mini workshops and panel discussions also took place in Tal Afar and Sinjar last weekend.
