Within the framework of the project “Clean Tigris- Dialogue Programme for Sustainable Peace in Mesopotamia” elbarlament published a book on sustainable solutions for issues such as climate change, water pollution and conflict due to water scarcity in the Land Between Two Rivers.
The book presents some of the results of the extensive research conducted by experts and developed by project participants as part of the dialogue programme; its goal is to promote environmental awareness in Iraq. It is also a response to the meagre research landscape regarding the water situation in Iraq and the Euphrates and Tigris basin.
The book takes the reader on a journey from Mesopotamian water laws to modern day international cooperation.
