Hatice Özyurt, Project Officer
Hatice Özyurt started to work as a project officer in September 2016. In elbarlament she contributes to “innovation in democratization” projects and is part of the business development unit. She previously worked in public relations and organized cultural projects for Kiepenheuer & Witsch in Cologne and C.H. Beck in Munich.
During her studies she worked in the civil society sector in Argentina and Uruguay and at the UNESCO Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (UNEVOC) in Bonn. She holds a Master of Arts in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Kent and Philipps-Universität Marburg (International Double Award) and studied in Poland, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
She specialises in the cultural dimensions of security studies and conflict transformation. For elbarlament, Ms Özyurt has worked on the projects “Writing for Life”, its following project “Cultural Initiatives for Civil Society in Iraq 2019”, Open Doors-Open Minds and on “Women think Iraq New”.
