How can we implement gender-transformative approaches to climate change adaptation and mitigation governance?<br \/>\nWithin the dialogue programme <a href=\"http:\/\/www.elbarlament.org\/projects\/clean-tigris\">Clean Tigris<\/a>, elbarlament organised an online training on <strong>gender dynamics and water resources<\/strong> with the Egyptian gender expert Salma Kadry to address these pertinent issues. The event took place online on 26 August 2021.<br \/>\nThe workshop strived to raise awareness for gender-sensitive planning of measures. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/environment\/water\/wwap\/display-single-news\/news\/the_2019_water_gender_toolkit_has_been_launched\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.unesco.org\/new\/en\/natural-sciences\/environment\/water\/wwap\/display-single-news\/news\/the_2019_water_gender_toolkit_has_been_launched\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1630660071091000&amp;usg=AFQjCNE1k4KUw0C0nN_jOK1fgwoz8Y8k5g\">Water Gender Toolkit developed by UNESCO<\/a> was also introduced to the participants, which ranged from NGOs and academia to staff members of the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Water Resources and the Ministry of Agriculture.<br \/>\nFor further reading on the topic we recommend the article &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/elbarlament.org\/gender-and-water-dynamics-in-iraq\/\">Gender and Water Dynamics in Iraq: towards inclusive and sustainable water responses<\/a>&#8216;, Salma Kadry&#8217;s contribution to our book &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/elbarlament.org\/projects\/water-is-life-perspectives-on-water-in-the-land-of-two-streams\/\">Water is Life &#8211; from Mesopotamian water laws to International Cooperation<\/a>&#8216;.<br \/>\nThe two years dialogue project is funded by the ifa with funds from the German Federal Foreign Office.
