In 2019, our “Cultural Initiatives for Civil Society in Iraq 2019” project, included a Training of Trainers (ToT) programme. Over the course of five intensive workshops in Erbil, Sulaymaniyah, Duhok and Hilla 13 Iraqi women learned to organise and implement writing workshops on their own.<\/p>\n

The film team Julie Biro and Lorenz Findeisen from Paris accompanied the last Training of Trainer’s workshop which took place in November 2019 in Duhok, and made this video<\/a> of the workshops with our ToT participants Mervat and Noor that were organised and implemented for external participants from Mosul and Duhok.<\/p>\n

Many thanks go to the German Federal Foreign Office for funding the project, to Julie Biro and Lorenz Findeisen for shooting this great video, to Leila Chammaa for the impressive work she did training the ToT participants and to Mervat and Noor for implementing such a great workshop.<\/p>\n
