Announcing the ‘Water for Future’ Festival and Conference in Erbil

Between 29 October and 7 November, we are organising the final conference of our two-year Clean Tigris project.  The ‘Water for Future’ festival and conference will take place  in Erbil, Iraq and will be entail:
– An internal workshop to finetune the ‘Roadmap for a sustainable water resource management for Iraq’.
– A public conference with local and international experts on Water Resources, climate change and water conflict’s prevention; where the jointly written roadmap will be handed out to representatives of the central government, the parliamentary committee for water and environment, as well as the government of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
– The photo exhibition “Reconnecting with our Lifeblood” by the Waterkeepers Iraq at the Citadel in Erbil. Within the exhibition, elbarlament also presents works developed in the framework of the Clean Tigris project in 2020 and 2021.
As a final event, all participants of 2021’s dialogue workshops will have the opportunity to visit and take part in a guided tour of the Dukhan dam in KRG on Saturday, 30 October 2021.
